制造中空玻璃设备的原片玻璃可以是无色浮法玻璃、镀膜玻璃、钢化玻璃、夹层玻璃等。应避免使用普通平板玻璃，普通平板玻璃的透明度及强度均达不到要求。上述玻璃原片必须符合相应标准要求，经检验合格后才能使用。不同厂家不同批次的玻璃在切割前应首先检查有无色差，将色差较大的玻璃分别用于不同的工程或不同的建筑立面中。玻璃切割尺寸应按图纸要求严格执行，同时操作人员应注意玻璃表面，不得有划伤、气泡等明显缺陷。铝条、插角的选用：铝条的厚度应在0.30mm～0.35mm之间，厚度应均匀一致，透气孔分布均匀。铝条须经阳极氧化处理或去污处理，一定要选用质量好、档次高的产品，提高铝条利用率。插角尺寸要选好，表面要擦干净。

Glass with significant color difference should be used for different projects or building facades. The cutting size of glass should be strictly executed according to the drawing requirements, and the operator should pay attention to the surface of the glass, without obvious defects such as scratches and bubbles. Selection of aluminum bars and corner inserts: The thickness of the aluminum bars should be between 0.30mm and 0.35mm, with uniform thickness and even distribution of ventilation holes. Aluminum bars must undergo anodizing or decontamination treatment, and high-quality and high-grade products must be selected to improve the utilization rate of aluminum bars. The size of the insertion angle should be carefully selected, and the surface should be wiped clean.

中空玻璃设备的优点是节能与环保，现代建筑能耗主要是空调和照明，前者占55%，后者占23%，玻璃是建筑外墙中最薄、最易传热的材料。大部分玻璃加工厂使用的中空玻璃生产线都是半自动式板压或辊压生产设备，其生产节奏的快慢主要受限于压片机的速度和在线清洗机的速度。若想提高一次提交成品率，就必须落实合片前各个工序的自检和互检，从上片检查、铝框制作乃至丁基胶涂布，尤其是要注意上框工序的质量检查，因为任何缺陷在该工序都基本可以显现出来，而且在合片前能较容易地进行补救处理。
