取用丁基热熔密封胶时手要清洁干净，胶的表面不要沾入灰尘、油污和溶剂(如丙酮、汽油等)打胶时可戴不掉毛的手套，进行涂抹操作。接触热胶时小心烫伤，接触胶的手套应干净无毛边或其它易粘在胶上的污染物。丁基热熔密封胶打胶时要控制在160℃以下，严禁在170℃以上打胶，以免胶老化分解。
